Pomona : Fair Draws 1.4 Million
The 66th annual Los Angeles County Fair ranked fifth among the event’s all-time attendance figures, drawing 1,401,876 visitors over 24 days.
Though far below the fair’s record of 1,612,097 visitors in 1991, this year’s attendance was well above last year’s figure of 1,239,003. Fair officials attributed the increase this year to lower admission and carnival ride prices.
In an effort to bolster attendance, fair officials cut admission from $10 to $8 for adults and from $5 to $4 for children older than 5.
