Printronix Reports 3-Cents-a-Share Profit

Printronix Inc., the Irvine manufacturer of computer printers, reported profit of $96,000, or 3 cents a share, for its second fiscal quarter, contrasted with a net loss of $3.9 million, or $1.26 a share, for the like period last year.

Sales for the quarter ended Sept. 24 were up 17%, to $24.5 million from $21 million. For the first half of fiscal 1994, the company posted a profit of $627,000, or 19 cents a share, on sales of $48.7 million. That compares with a net loss of $3.8 million, or $1.23 a share, on sales of $46.9 million for the first six months of fiscal 1993.
