COLLEGE FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : USC : Injured Ford May Redshirt

USC kicker Cole Ford, sidelined because of a lower back injury, might be reshirted this season.

Ford, a junior, has a small vertebra fracture, but it hasn’t been determined if that is the source of his pain. Coach John Robinson said a redshirt season for Ford is an option.

Safety Mike Salmon is kicking in Ford’s absence.

One of USC’s four injured offensive linemen, Kris Pollack, will probably play against Oregon on Saturday, Robinson said. Pollack injured a shoulder in practice three weeks ago.
