Adult Business Law Not Neighborly
* Mission Viejo is planning to allow zoning for adult entertainment businesses to operate on commercial properties it is developing on El Toro Road north of the new highway under construction. At a Planning Commission workshop to air public concerns regarding the proposed adult business ordinance, many people expressed their strong concerns.
As a resident of the Portola Hills area, I resent the fact that our neighborly city of Mission Viejo has decided to zone for this type of business at the outer limits of their boundaries and so close to our communities, our schools and our churches. Mission Viejo has four commercial zones for this type of business. If the proposition is to provide their citizenry with this type of entertainment, why not centrally locate them in the shopping centers, their malls and their neighborhoods?
