Share

The Parks and Recreation Commission is seeking suggestions from residents on what public improvements should be added to its budget proposal for the next year.

Kerry Bartelt, parks and recreation director, said the commission will discuss the suggestions when it meets at 7 tonight in the City Council chambers to recommend changes to its capital improvement budget proposal for 1993-94.

The commission is also scheduled tonight to set a date in November for a workshop with individuals and organizations interested in defining a cultural arts program and required facilities.

“Do we see a cultural arts center in our future?” Bartelt said. “Even if it’s not something we do for the next 10 or 20 years, (the commissioners) want to be sure to look at it.”
