Crown International Pictures Names New Senior VP

Scott E. Schwimer has been promoted to senior vice president of business and legal affairs at Crown International Pictures.

Schwimer will negotiate acquisitions, licensing and productions. He joined Crown in 1986 and has been involved in such productions as “The Silencer” “Lena’s Holiday” and “Hunk.”

Michael Roberts has been promoted to senior vice president of production at Walt Disney Pictures.

Roberts will continue to be involved in the development and production of motion pictures under the Walt Disney Pictures name.

Jonathan Weisgal, a former agent with Creative Artists Agency, has been hired as a consultant to Polygram Filmed Entertainment President Michael Kuhn.

Kathy Spanberger was named senior vice president of the U.S. operations of Peermusic, a music publishing company.

Germany’s WMG film company named former Warner Bros. Vice President Art Horan executive vice president of the company’s U.S. division and former MTV executive Graeme Weston as vice president of new media and technology.

Univision Senior Vice President Enrique Baray has been named to the L.A. Telecommunications Commission.
