Digital Unveils Products: The firm, signaling a major push to boost its position in the global computer client/server market, launched about 150 products, product enhancements and services. The move included a new generation of work-group software called LinkWorks, additions to its existing Unix and OpenVMS software and a second generation of Alpha AXP servers. Digital said it has improved its pricing structure and simplified ordering procedures for most of its products worldwide. The drive is part of a shift in emphasis by Digital, which has undergone a major product transition while restructuring in a bid to return to financial health after years of losses.
