Glendale : City Seeks Board Volunteers
Applications are being accepted until Oct. 21 from residents wishing to volunteer service on one of five city boards or commissions that currently have vacancies.
Nominees for each of the openings will be selected by different panels, each consisting of two members of the City Council, under a new procedure adopted last month.
Vacancies are on the Board of Zoning Adjustments; Historic Preservation Commission; Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission; Building Commission; and Beautification Advisory Council. Terms for the unpaid positions vary from three to four years.
Applicants for all of the positions must be registered voters in the city. Applications are being accepted at the city clerk’s office at City Hall, 613 E. Broadway, Room 110.
