Statordyne Names New Chief Financial Officer

Bruce R. Peasland has been appointed chief financial officer of Statordyne Corp., an Anaheim manufacturer of power protection products. He was most recently business manager and chief financial officer of MacGillivray Freeman Films Inc., a film production and distribution company in Laguna Beach. Before that, Peasland served as vice president of finance and administration for Control Components Inc. He has also worked for British Petroleum Advanced Composites, Lear Siegler Inc. and the Gillette Co.

* Larry Christensen has been appointed vice president of dealer sales for General Automation Inc., an Anaheim computer systems company. Christensen was formerly regional vice president at the company. He succeeds Sherwood King, who has been appointed vice president of new business development.

* Laurelee Blanchard has been appointed senior vice president and a member of the board of directors of Lee & Associates’ Newport Beach office. She joined the commercial real estate brokerage firm in 1989 as an associate broker in the Irvine Spectrum office.

* Jim Jolliffe has been promoted to senior vice president and associate creative director at BSB West in Irvine. He has been with the advertising agency since 1990. Before that, Jolliffe was with TBWA in St. Louis and DDB Needham in Chicago.

* Michael Gillespie has been appointed West Coast divisional marketing director for Planco Financial Services, a Pennsylvania-based marketer of annuity products. From his Orange County base, Gillespie will oversee the sales efforts of 13 regional marketing directors. He has been a regional marketing director for the company for the past three years.

* Heather Edmondson has been appointed benefits/employee relations manager for the Anaheim Hilton & Towers. She was previously employment manager at the Los Angeles Hilton and Towers.

* James W. Loss has been appointed president of the Orange Coast Venture Group, a nonprofit group designed to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information. He succeeds Timothy J. Cooley, who has headed the group for the past two years. Loss is managing partner of the Orange County office of Riordan & McKinzie, a law corporation based in Los Angeles.
