SAN FRANCISCO — The parents of Polly Klaas are begging their daughter’s kidnaper to return the 12-year-old girl.
“Whoever you are, wherever you are, please return Polly to her family. She belongs here,” Eve Nichol and Marc Klaas wrote in Sunday’s San Francisco Examiner.
“We miss Polly so much,” they said. “We miss the twinkle in her eye and her sweet humor. We long to see her beautiful smile and hear her musical voice.”
Polly’s parents also had a message for their daughter, who was kidnaped from her bedroom in Petaluma the night of Oct. 1.
“Our darling, if you can read this, please know that your mommy and daddy love you so much and we will continue to search for you until we can hold you safely in our loving arms again,” they wrote.
Police on Saturday said a new composite sketch of the tall, bearded man who abducted Polly at knifepoint has prompted more than 1,000 calls from people who think they may have seen him. But police said they had no solid new leads to report.
