Nation IN BRIEF : FLORIDA : Flotilla of Aid Arrives in Cuba

A flotilla loaded with 40 tons of powdered milk, vegetable oil and candy arrived in Cuba, the second such trip this year. Seventeen boats crossed the Straits of Florida to deliver the goods, said John Young, director of Basta!--Spanish for “enough.” Cuban government officials received the group, he said. Because of the battered Cuban economy, many in the island nation are suffering from symptoms of malnutrition.
