Advanced Compression Working on Bank Link

Advanced Compression Technology Inc., a Simi Valley producer of devices used in integrated communications networks, is supplying equipment for a system that will link the worldwide operations of Brazil’s national bank.

Advanced Compression is providing the system with the firm’s frame relay switches and multiplexers. The latter carry voice, fax, data and computer output over the same circuit.

The network will link 2,500 branches and field offices of Banco do Brasil.

Advanced Compression spokeswoman Marilyn F. Marme estimated the company’s revenues from the project at $300,000.
