Summit Health Records 1st-Quarter Profit Surge

Summit Health Ltd., a Burbank-based operator of hospitals, nursing centers and a health maintenance organization, said its fiscal first-quarter profit surged 28% from a year earlier.

For the three months ended Sept. 30, Summit Health earned $4.9 million, up from $3.82 million in the same period a year earlier. Revenue in the latest quarter was up 6%, to $129.3 million from $121.8 million.
