COSTA MESA : Trustee Appointed to International Panel
Armando R. Ruiz, a trustee of Coast Community College District, has been appointed by the national Assn. of Community College Trustees as chairman of its international committee. He will serve in that post for one year.
The international committee works to foster better ties to governing bodies of two-year colleges in foreign countries.
Ruiz, who has been a trustee at Coast Community College District since 1983, currently serves on the national association’s board of directors and has chaired its Pacific Region Minority Affairs Assembly since 1985.
He is also a board member of the statewide California Community Colleges Trustees.
Coast Community College District, with headquarters in Costa Mesa, governs Golden West College and KOCE-TV in Huntington Beach, Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley and Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa.
