Merrill Lynch & Co. said it reached a proposed $6-million settlement of a class-action lawsuit involving a real estate limited partnership. . . . The National Assn. of Securities Dealers ordered a San Antonio broker to pay $1.05 million to a 79-year-old widow for failing to pay her for securities he sold from her account. The fine is believed to be the biggest ever against an individual broker. . . .
