Taking Issue With Location of Attack
It’s interesting to note that the headline “3 Shot Down in Attack Near Little Saigon” (Oct. 21) is for an incident that happened in Fountain Valley! People in Little Saigon, which is in Westminster, must be very grateful that your reporter give their area some free publicity.
Perhaps to be fair, you should select a few additional landmarks in Orange County so that your readers can have a good reference point when they read about problems in Orange County. For example, you can report crimes in Santa Ana as “near South Coast Plaza.” For crimes in the Los Angeles area, I suggest Beverly Hills or Bel-Air since most people are probably familiar with these areas. I am sure their residents and merchants will appreciate tremendously the free publicity provided by your paper!
