Tekelec, a Calabasas maker of testing equipment for the communications industry, has named William C. Shaw senior vice president and general manager of the company’s network diagnostic division.

Shaw joins Tekelec from Hewlett-Packard, where he was business unit manager in the Colorado telecommunications division.
