Washington Post Plans Interactive Newspaper: The paper’s readers will soon be able to get the latest edition on their home computers and chat electronically about what they read, with each other and Post writers and editors. On-line versions are scheduled to be available in July. The company is creating a subsidiary, Digital Ink Co., to distribute news and other types of information electronically. The electronic Post’s electronic mail will enable readers to talk back and also to ask for in-depth sports statistics, play a variety of games and contribute chapters to a “Soap Opera” section.
