Weekend Box Office : A Jolly ‘Three Musketeers’ Weekend

Share

“The Three Musketeers” enjoyed its first weekend in first place but will have trouble holding on in the face of “Addams Family Values,” arriving in theaters Friday. “Carlito’s Way” opened strongly in second place. Weekend estimates had placed “My Life” in third place, but final numbers on Monday pushed the Michael Keaton and Nicole Kidman movie to fourth. Disney’s “Nightmare Before Christmas” had stronger than expected ticket sales Sunday and wound up in third.

* “The Piano,” which tied for top honors at the Cannes Film Festival, opened to a well-tuned $151,419 in four New York theaters. The film expands its run Friday.
