Gold Reserve Figures to Be Divulged: The government will disclose the traditionally secret figures soon, the Beijing-backed Hong Kong China News Agency said. “In order to stimulate industrial development and attract more foreign capital and technology into the country, it is necessary to release the gold reserve figures,” the agency quoted an official from the State Administration Bureau of Gold as saying. The People’s Bank of China is the only legal gold buyer in the country.
