Packard Bell Electronics Gets $30-Million Loan
Packard Bell Electronics Inc., a Chatsworth maker of personal computers, said it obtained $30 million in financing from Congress Financial Corp.
The amount is in addition to the $70 million in financing provided by Congress Financial in August. Packard Bell said the new money enables it to fund continued growth in its U.S. operation.
Congress Financial is a New York asset-based lender.
Packard Bell also said it expects its 1993 revenues to reach $1.25 billion, and unit shipments to total more than one million PCs. Last year, it had $925 million in revenues and it shipped 700,000 PCs.
