GARDEN GROVE : City Seeks Bilingual Police Applicants
The city is seeking bilingual applicants for police officer and police reserve officer positions.
Police officers and police academy graduates who speak English and one other language--including Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Cambodian and Laotian--are encouraged to apply.
Bilingual officers are especially needed because the department has recently embraced community policing, which encourages a close partnership between the community and police in fighting crime, officials said.
