Nation IN BRIEF : MASSACHUSETTS : Ex-Fugitive Gets Prison Term in Theft

A federal judge in Boston sentenced longtime fugitive and ‘60s radical Katherine Ann Power to five years in federal prison for her role in a 1970 theft at a National Guard armory. The sentence handed down is to be served at the same time as Power’s 8-to-12-year state prison sentence for an earlier bank robbery in Brighton, Mass., in which a police officer was killed. Power, 44, drove a getaway car in the bank robbery.
