Rohatyn to Assist in UAL Talks: Felix Rohatyn, a senior partner with investment brokers Lazard Freres & Co. of New York, will participate when employee buyout talks between United Airlines and its pilots and machinists unions resume next week, a United official said. As an expert in mergers and acquisitions, Rohatyn, 65, was on the presidential commission that examined airline industry problems earlier this year. He is joining the talks at the company’s request, said Joe Hopkins of UAL Corp., the airline’s parent.
