Girl, 4, Drowns in North Hollywood Swimming Pool
A 4-year-old girl drowned in a swimming pool accident Saturday morning.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said the girl’s mother had pulled her from the pool and was giving the child cardiopulmonary resuscitation under direction of a 911 dispatcher when paramedics arrived at the residence in the 8100 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue about 10 a.m.
The girl, identified by a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office as Krynna Gotiong, was not breathing and had no pulse when admitted to Pacifica Hospital of the Valley in Sun Valley, where she later died.
A coroner’s investigation to determine how the girl fell into the pool had not been started Saturday, the spokesman said.
