Kid-Size Cash: Country legend Johnny Cash, one of the latest celebs to jump into the children’s media market, will autograph copies of his children’s book/audio cassette, “The Good, the Bad and the Two Cookie Kid,” at Brentano’s Bookstore in the Beverly Center on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

On the recording, Cash sings the country title song and narrates a tale about a rascally young thief who steals all the cookies west of the Rio Grande before he’s brought to justice by the mysterious Man in Black. It’s the second title in Better Place Publishing’s new “Celebrity Series.” The first, “The Rainy Day Blues,” features blues great B. B. King. Both books are by Shirley Kelley; Eric Herbst wrote the music and lyrics.
