Visa and Intuit Team Up: The credit card organization and the maker of Quicken and QuickBooks software will offer widespread electronic banking beginning next year. Among the services that participating Visa institutions would be able to offer are electronic account balances and financial transactions, such as intra-bank fund transfers; electronic delivery of customers’ Visa card and checking statements, and electronic bill payment services. So far, Wells Fargo Bank, BancOne Corp., First Bank Systems, First National Bank of Omaha and Meridian Bank have committed to offer the services, which are expected to cost a few dollars a month.
