Carter Hawley Hale Names Personnel Chief: Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc., operator of the Broadway department store chain, appointed Robert J. Lambert executive vice president of human resources. Lambert had been chief human resources officer at the Stride Rite Corp. since 1990. Lambert reports to David Dworkin, president and chief executive of Los Angeles-based Carter Hawley.
