Lisa Leslie scored 22 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead the USC women’s basketball team past Cal State Northridge, 95-31, Tuesday night at the Sports Arena.
Freshman Tina Thompson added 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Nicky McCrimmon and Erica Jackson combined for 10 assists as the 12th-ranked Trojans improved to 4-0 under first-year Coach Cheryl Miller.
“When we came back from the road with a 3-0 record, I was worried that there would be an emotional letdown,” Miller said. “But, the team just came out again and played great.”
The Matadors are 1-4.
