Delay Expected in Software Upgrade: Microsoft Corp. is likely to miss an internal target date of Sept. 30 for launching the “Chicago” upgrade of its popular Windows and DOS operating systems, software industry analysts say. But the Redmond, Wash.-based software giant seems certain to launch the product by the end of 1994, as it has said publicly, the analysts said. The Chicago software, which upgrades both DOS and Windows and combines them into a single package, is expected to be the single most important event for Microsoft in fiscal 1995.
