The Palos Verdes Players will give six performances of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

The cast includes Frank Crabb as Scrooge; David Lee Stewart as his deceased partner, Marley; Michele Cripps as the Ghost of Christmas Past; Ron Lopes as the Ghost of Christmas Present; Luke Valla as Scrooge’s poor clerk Bob Cratchit, and R. J. DiLonardo as Tiny Tim.

The tale centers on Scrooge, who regards Christmas as nothing but “humbug.” Through ghostly visits from Marley and the specters representing what was, is, and might be, Scrooge has a change of heart.

In the memorable finale, he brings the Cratchit family a Christmas meal, raising the spirits of Cratchit’s son Tiny Tim, who sings out, “God bless us, every one!”

The story was adapted for the stage by Cora Wilson Greenwood. Will Anderson directs and Julie Jeffrey is the producer.
