Development Plan to Be Presented

Community leaders who helped draft the Downtown Strategic Plan, a blueprint for planning, design and economic development over the next 25 years, will present their final product at a lunch meeting Thursday at the Sheraton Grande Hotel, 333 S. Figueroa St.

The plan must go through a series of public hearings and be approved by the Community Redevelopment Agency board, the city Planning Commission and the City Council.

The presentation is sponsored by the Central City Assn. and the Central City East Assn. business organizations and costs $35 for members of either group and $40 for non-members. The event begins with lunch at 11:30 a.m. in the hotel’s Grande Ballroom.
