U.S. Paper Industry Sets 50% Recycle Goal: Encouraged by the success of recycling efforts, the paper industry now aims to recover for recycling half of all the paper used in the United States by 2000, the American Forest & Paper Assn. said. This year, the paper industry achieved its goal of recovering 40% of all paper used in the U.S., two years ahead of schedule, the trade group said.
