Joe Weller to Succeed Timm Crull as Chief Executive of Nestle USA

Joe Weller, president and chief operating officer of Nestle USA, has been named chief executive of the Glendale-based unit of the Swiss food products company, effective Jan. 1.

Weller will succeed Timm Crull, the current chief executive, who will remain chairman of Nestle USA and executive vice president of parent firm Nestle.

Weller, 48, has spent 25 years with Nestle and its Carnation unit. He has been president since Jan. 1, 1992.

In other developments at the company, Tony Martino, executive vice president and chief financial officer, announced his retirement. He will be succeeded by Mario Corti, who joined Nestle USA in 1990 as senior vice president and chief administrative officer.

In addition, Martin Holford, senior vice president of Technical Services of Nestle USA, has been promoted to senior vice president for industrial operations. Holford began his career with Nestle U.K. in 1970 and was most recently technical manager for Canada.
