Jennifer Howard; Actress, Former Wife of Samuel Goldwyn Jr.

Jennifer Howard, 68, a stage, film and television actress who was married to Samuel Goldwyn Jr. Miss Howard, the New York-born daughter of actress Claire Eames and “Gone With the Wind” screenwriter Sidney Howard, appeared on Broadway and other New York stages in the 1940s. She had roles in “A Winter’s Tale,” “Fatal Weakness” and “Sundown Beach,” among other plays. In the 1960s, she appeared in such films as “Return to Peyton Place,” “All Fall Down,” “The Chapman Report” and “House of Women.” She also played guest roles on television series, including “Twilight Zone” and “Perry Mason.” Miss Howard was married to Goldwyn, an independent filmmaker, from 1950 to 1966, and is the mother of four Goldwyn children--actor Tony Goldwyn, Paramount motion picture group production President John Goldwyn, Francis Goldwyn and Catherine Goldwyn. In her later years, Miss Howard became a painter and was married to the now-deceased artist John Ery Coleman. On Tuesday in Los Angeles of lung cancer.
