Political Consultant Is Wrong on Police
* I was disappointed that Marc Litchman (“Public Safety, Political Safety,” Valley Commentary, Nov. 21) thinks that the Valley does not need more police, considering that it has only 1.1 officers per 1,000 residents.
Valley residents understand how important it is to have more police on the street. Does Mr. Litchman worry about going out after dark, walking the streets or even taking the bus? Since the Valley has voted to put more police on the street, it appears that he is either another political-consultant outsider or is just out of touch with the Valley. Either way, he should stick to politics, not policy.
