CAMARILLO : Jaycees to Honor 10 Educators in State
- Share via
The Camarillo chapter of the Jaycees is accepting nominations through Jan. 10 for the area’s Outstanding Young Educator for entry in the statewide competition.
The Jaycees will honor 10 California educators in the annual contest.
Potential nominees do not have to reside or work in Camarillo, chapter member Camille Morris said. With just one other chapter in the county--in Ventura--nominations can come from anywhere in the county, she said.
Educators must be between the ages of 21 and 39. They will be judged on the innovation of programs or curricula they developed, interaction with students and parents, successful grant writing and contributions to society.
The competition may include administrators and other educators.
For information or to request a nomination form, call Walter Morris at 389-5285.
