What Does It Mean? Deciphering what the permit and sales increases mean, and predicting where things are going this year, will be the topic of the Orange County Building Industry Assn.’s inaugural meeting for 1994.
The Jan. 17 dinner at the Irvine Marriott will feature economists Dennis Aigner, dean of the graduate school of management at UC Irvine; and James Doti, president of the private Chapman University in Orange and former director of its Center for Economic Research.
Both universities turn out annual forecasts of the county economy, and Aigner and Doti have been asked to share their thinking about what the future holds for the housing industry specifically.
