Three male youths were arrested Thursday on suspicion of burglary and vandalism of a children’s group home that was rendered uninhabitable by an attack that did an estimated $2,800 damage to the structure, authorities said.

The suspects, all from Acton, allegedly entered a group home in the 32800 block of Crown Valley Road sometime between Dec. 26 and 28, when the residents were away on an outing, authorities said.

Once inside, the youths allegedly sprayed graffiti, mustard and shaving cream on walls, appliances and furniture, stole $650 in cash and personal items and flooded the house with water by plugging every drain and then turning on the faucets, authorities reported.
