* Cable TV: One of cable’s stranger stories has gotten even stranger. In a cryptic announcement, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson’s International Family Entertainment said it has ended a $40-million tender offer for Nostalgia Network cable channel. The announcement comes as Los Angeles-based Nostalgia is about to suffer a major blow to its business when Time Warner Inc.’s cable operation in Manhattan drops it effective Feb. 1. Nostalgia, which aims its programs at people 45 and older, will lose access to nearly 500,000 subscribers. Dick Aurelio, president of Time Warner’s New York City cable group, said only one complaint has been received about the decision to drop the channel. The Robertson group had been vying for the channel against a group with links to the Rev. Sun Myung Moon. Nostalgia representatives did not return calls.
