Hornist Jerry Folsom to Solo With Orchestra

Hornist Jerry Folsom, a principal of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will be the featured soloist on the next concert of the Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay, Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Norris Theatre on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Folsom will play Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4, K. 495, with the ensemble, conducted by Francis Steiner. Also on the program: the Sinfonia, Opus 3, No. 4, by Johann Christian Bach, “Crisantemi” by Puccini and the Symphony No. 5 by Schubert.
