Chrysler Recalling New Pickups: The auto maker said about 17,800 Dodge Rams from the early 1994 model year are being recalled to fix a defective seat latch. A rivet in the seat latch mechanism could deform and allow the seat back to tilt forward in an accident, reducing passenger protection, Chrysler Corp. spokesman Lee Sechler said. No accidents or injuries have been reported because of the condition, discovered during company evaluations.
