MID-WILSHIRE : HIV Council Invites New Participants

Share

The HIV Health Services Planning Council will sponsor two orientations next month to explain how people with HIV--or who are at risk of infection--can participate in the council and its task forces.

The council, established by the County Board of Supervisors, is responsible for setting program and funding priorities for many HIV services in the county. The council’s office is at 600 S. Commonwealth Ave. on the sixth floor.

Council members determine which communities within the county require particular attention and recommend how the $30 million should be distributed among education and prevention programs and outpatient services.
