Bus Driver Gets Nailed on Job

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — A Malaysian bus driver was fired after he refused to cut his nearly 6-inch fingernails.
Malaysia’s road department told Jaafar Nordin the fingernails not only look bad but could hinder his driving. When Nordin refused to cut them, the department revoked his driver’s licence.
The last time Nordin cut his hair and nails was five years ago when he accepted a friend’s challenge to let them grow until he gets married at the end of this year.
The longest nail, on his left hand middle finger, is 5.9 inches, the New Straits Times reported Friday.
