Rep. Ford to Retire

WASHINGTON — Rep. William D. Ford, a Michigan Democrat known as a champion of labor and workplace safety, announced Tuesday that he will retire at the end of his 15th term this year. Ford, 66, of Ypsilanti, said he wants to spend more time with his family and retire while he still is healthy enough to enjoy hunting, fishing and golfing.
