Classical Instruction for Guitar Lovers

It was interesting reading your recent article “Creating the Sound of Music” (Jan. 13). I hope that many parents will be guided in the right direction toward quality music lessons for their children.

But I was a bit disappointed that you failed to mention that it is possible for a child to study music with classical guitar instruction.

Lots of children relate to the guitar. Very few parents realize that serious music instruction is possible on the guitar. As a classical guitar teacher of many years experience, I know that success on the classical guitar is most enjoyable, from the ages of 4 to adults.
