NEWPORT BEACH : Library Building Listed for $339,000
The City Council has put the West Newport Library building up for sale.
The building, which is to be vacated Tuesday, will be listed by Cannery Village Realty for $339,000.
The real estate company will handle the sale for a 5% commission, according to a report written by Assistant City Manager Kenneth J. Delino and presented to the council last week. Delino added that the property at 6000 W. Coast Highway has attracted a prospective buyer.
The property, which was appraised in 1992 at $325,000, is one of three that the city has put on the market recently. A vacant bay front lot on River Avenue sold last year for more than $390,000, and the old Balboa Fire Station is still up for sale.
