2 New Macs Aimed at Education Market: Apple Computer Inc. introduced two all-in-one desktop Macintosh models intended for students and educators. The LC 550 has a built-in monitor, stereo speakers, a microphone and a 33-megahertz 68030 microprocessor. The LC 575 has all the features of the LC 550 but with a 68040LC microprocessor and a built-in CD-ROM drive. The LC 550 retails for about $1,199 and the LC 575 sells for about $1,699. Apple may eventually sell the new Macintoshes to general consumers as well.
