Ganz Memorial Group Seeks Artists’ Help

Manhattan Beach residents working to erect a monument memorializing slain Police Officer Martin Ganz want help from area artists.
After Ganz was killed during a traffic stop Dec. 27, Manhattan Beach dentist Stephen Guidone placed collection tins in area schools and shops to raise money for the project.
His organization has collected several thousand dollars, he said, and he hopes to find a local artist to design the monument for a quiet city park.
“I’m sure someone has a memorial idea in their head and it would be very healing for them to get involved,” Guidone said.
To contribute an idea, call (310) 545-5621, Ext. 325.
