Bar-Code Firm Offers Shares to the Public

Eltron International Inc., a Chatsworth marketer of bar-code label printers and software, said it commenced an initial public offering of 1.1 million shares of common stock, priced at $6 per share.

The company said proceeds from the stock offering will be used to buy more manufacturing equipment and repay debt. Eltron’s shares, all of which were offered by the company, began Nasdaq trading on Feb. 9.
